I have just discovered www.gannononinvesting.com, a blog dedicated to value investing.

The first two posts I read were of interest.  This post has a great link to many eyes. A visualisation tool, which lets you upload data and create interesting graphs.

While this post talked about the upcoming spinoff from Tyco. Which reminded me of Joel Greenblatt and his book You Can Be a Stock Market Genius: Uncover the Secret Hiding Places of Stock Market Profits.

Waterfall Chart

If you ever go to a Limited Partners’ meeting for a Private Equity fund you will see a Waterfall Chart.

They are useful in showing how a company’s value may have increased from initial investment to exit.
